How to get a certificate to renew a Thai driver’s license

To exchange expired driver’s license, you need to go through a short online training. In fact, everything is quite simple – you need to watch the training video and pass a small test.

Go to the site and click the “For foreigners” button.

Register on the site if you opened it for the first time. If you have already registered, then click Login.

Select a document to verify your identity. There are two options to choose from:

• PASSPORT – international passport
• NON THAI IDENTIFICATION CARD – identification card of a non-Thai citizen

Enter your passport number twice, phone number and date of birth.

Pay attention to the “Your username” field – save its value, as it will be used as a login to enter the site.

Immediately after registration, you will be redirected to the login page of the site. Enter the received username (from the “Your username” field), or the number of the identification document (passport).

Also enter your date of birth.

On the next page after entering the site, click the “Apply” button.

On the next page, click the “Continue” button.

Start watching video.

You will be shown instructional videos – the same ones that are shown when applying for a driver's license in Thailand. For foreigners, some videos are translated into English and some videos into Thai with English subtitles.

If you switch to another tab or minimize the web browser window with a running video, it will pause.

After watching the video, take a short test.

After successfully passing the test, save and print the certificate. You can print on a black and white printer.
