Rules of travel and behavior on buses in Thailand
As a general rule, no animals are allowed on buses.
It is forbidden to drink alcoholic beverages on the buses.
Eating on buses is usually not allowed. If you eat something, then don't stain the seats and don't leave trash behind!
Usually, buses stop not only at their final destinations, but also at other places at the request of passengers. If you want to get off before reaching your destination, then warn the driver in advance before the trip.
In vans (micro buses) there is no place for luggage. That is, it is not provided even by the design of the van. Therefore, if you have large luggage, then you need to negotiate its transportation separately. Usually you can do this: buy additional passenger seats and carry luggage on it.
Larger minibuses and large buses may have luggage space. Check the baggage rules and excess baggage fees for your bus before purchasing tickets.
