The article “Pattaya public transport and tuk-tuk route map” tells about the only (and therefore the most popular) public transport. These are pickup trucks converted to transport people. Usually they are called tuk-tuks (although this is not entirely correct), they are also called “songthaew” and “baht bus”.

Tuk-tuks in Pattaya are dark blue.

But these are not the only tuk-tuks in Pattaya. You could also see white tuk-tuks on the Sukhumvit road. They will come in handy if you want to visit the sights in the suburbs of Pattaya, as well as the island of Ko Sichang. This is the cheapest way to get to places of interest as other alternatives are taxis or tours.

Most Pattaya residents and tourists are familiar with these two types of tuk-tuks. Although not everyone knows exactly where the white songthaews go and where exactly they stay in Pattaya. But few people know about three more routes where blue, green and red tuk-tuks go from Pattaya. They can also be useful for visiting attractions around Pattaya and nearby cities.

This article is devoted to tuk-tuks plying intercity from Pattaya.

If you are a big fan of public transport (or saving), then using the routes described in this article you can get to neighboring cities and there again take a tuk-tuk and get to even more distant sights.

From where and where do white tuk-tuks run

White, as well as blue, green, and red tuk-tuks start moving from North Pattaya near Lan Pho Na Kluea Market, that is, the Na Kluea seafood market.

Tuk-tuks serve several destinations, including the nearby towns of Si Racha and Sattahip.

White tuk-tuks to Si Racha

Si Racha is a small town north of Pattaya (toward Bangkok). Si Racha is interesting primarily for the island of Ko Sichang, which is located nearby and can be reached by a cheap ferry.

There is a white songthaew to Si Racha, don't confuse it with the songthaew to Sattahip, which is also white. On the map, its parking place is marked as “White tuk-tuk to Si Racha”.

The final stop of this tuk-tuk is a place near Muang Si Racha Food Market (Si Racha City Market).

Also this tuk-tuk passes near or through:

• Laem Chabang
• Ao Udom

Of the tourist attractions that this tuk-tuk passes by, we can note:

If you are moving from Sukhumvit, you don't have to go to the Seafood Market, next to the Sukhumvit road, tuk-tuks to Si Racha stop and wait for passengers. This stopping point is marked “White tuk-tuk to Si Racha #2”.

You can return from Si Racha to Pattaya by the same route. The tuk-tuk parking place in Si Racha is marked on the map as “Bus stop to Pattaya”.

White tuk-tuks to Sattahip

Sattahip is a city not far from Pattaya in the opposite direction from Si Racha, that is, to the south.

Sattahip has a large park for walking and sports, as well as a promenade and a large food fair. But even more important than the tuk-tuks in Sattahip are that they pass by several attractions in the suburbs of Pattaya. In this way, you can get to interesting places by public transport, which can otherwise be reached only by taxi or along with a tourist tour.

Please note that tuk-tuks in Sattahip are also white! It is not easy to distinguish them from tuk-tuks in Si Racha! Of course, you can look for the sign with the route, which is on every tuk-tuk, but many of them have a sign in Thai only.

Therefore, be guided by the places of stopping.

The tuk-tuk stop in Sattahip is named “White tuk-tuk to Sattahip” on the map.

You don't have to go to Na Kluea Seafood Market to take a tuk-tuk towards Sattahip as this tuk tuk runs along the Sukhumvit Road all the way through Pattaya. You can wait for the white songthaew at one of the bus stops (described below).

At bus stops, don't be afraid to confuse tuk-tuks to Sattahip and Si Racha, as tuk tuks to Si Racha travel further north and don't enter Pattaya. If you see a white tuk-tuk in Pattaya, then this is the tuk-tuk of the Sattahip – Na Kluea (Patatya) route.

From Sattahip to Pattaya, white tuk-tuks depart from Sattahip fresh market (ตลาดสดสัตหีบ). On the map, this place is marked as “Bus stop to Pattaya”.

Blue tuk-tuks in Pattaya to Chak Ngaeo

The blue tuk-tuk travels along the route นาเกลือ-ชากแง้ว, i.e. Na Kluea – Chak Ngaeo.

Chak Ngaeo or Ban Chak Ngaeo is a community and village located in Tambon Huai Yai, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, eastern Thailand. It is a community of Thai Chinese who still maintain the traditional lifestyle similar to Talad Noi in Bangkok. It has been dubbed "Chinatown of the East".

• Turns onto Thanon Pornprapanimit Road (before reaching Central Pattaya Crossing)
• Passing the junction to Pattaya Railway Station
• Passing the Map Phrachan pond
• Passing an intersection leading to Horseshoe Point and Three Kingdoms Theme Park
• Passing by Dr. Thaworn Phornprapha Hall of Fame, Phornprapha Botanic Garden and drive to Siam Country Club.

Green tuk-tuks in Pattaya

The green tuk-tuk runs on the นาเกลือ-ด่านผจญ route.

This tuk tuk passes the intersection at The Million Years Stone Park & Pattaya Crocodile Farm.

White tuk-tuks to get to different places in Pattaya

White tuk-tuks ply along Sukhumvit. Sometimes (much less often) you may see a light blue songtheaw. As you already understood, these are buses going to neighboring towns or returning from there. But you can also use them to get to various places in Pattaya as they stop at bus stops and also on demand if you need to get off at some other place.

The fare for white and blue tuk-tuks is 20 baht, regardless of the distance.

The most reliable way to catch a white tuk-tuk is to wait for it at one of the bus stops. When you see a songtheaw approaching, give a hand signal.

Bus stops of white tuk-tuks in Pattaya

Bus stops for intercity tuk-tuks may look different.

For example, this is a traditional Thai style bus stop.

There are actually quite a few bus stops along the Sukhumvit highway.

As a rule, bus stops are located next to elevated pedestrian crossings, that is, bridges for pedestrians over the highway.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Mini Siam and to Dreamer Market (night market outside Sukhumvit, next to Mini Siam)

Coming from Pattaya, do not cross to the other side of the Sukhumvit road, as you need a tuk-tuk going towards Na Kluea.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white or blue tuk-tuk.

Sit in it. When passing Mini Siam, press the button to sound the driver to stop, and you can get off the tuk-tuk.

You can recognize the Mini Siam by the big sign on the side of the road, but to be sure, open the map on your mobile app and watch your progress.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Pattaya Floating Market

Coming from Pattaya, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit road as you need a tuk-tuk heading towards Sattahip.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white or blue tuk-tuk.

Sit in it. When passing by Pattaya Floating Market, press the bell button, so you can get off the tuk-tuk.

You can recognize Pattaya Floating Market by the large collection of buses, vans and other vehicles, but to be sure, open the map on your mobile app and watch your movement.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Underwater World Pattaya

Coming from Pattaya, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit road as you need a tuk-tuk heading towards Sattahip.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white or blue tuk-tuk.

Underwater World Pattaya is located on the opposite side of the stop, meaning you will need to cross to the opposite side of Sukhumvit.

How to get by tuk-tuk to MIMOSA Pattaya

Coming from Pattaya, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit road as you need a tuk-tuk heading towards Sattahip.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white or blue tuk-tuk.

MIMOSA is on the same side of Sukhumvit Road as the bus stop.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Sukhawadee House and Hat Krathing Lai Seashore Park

Coming from Pattaya, do not cross to the other side of the Sukhumvit road, as you need a tuk-tuk going towards Na Kluea.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white or blue tuk-tuk.

Take it to the final stop in Na Kluea.

In Na Kluea find a tuk-tuk going to Si Racha and take it.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Ko Sichang

Coming from Pattaya, do not cross to the other side of the Sukhumvit road, as you need a tuk-tuk going towards Na Kluea.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white or blue tuk-tuk.

Take it to the final stop in Na Kluea.

In Na Kluea find a tuk-tuk going to Si Racha and take it.

Drive to the final stop at Muang Si Racha Food Market (Si Racha City Market).

Take a taxi or walk (distance about 2 km) to Koh Loy Ko Sichang Ferry Port.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Ban Amphur Beach

Coming from Pattaya, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit road as you need a tuk-tuk heading towards Sattahip.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white tuk-tuk.

Get off at the location marked “Bus stop Ban Amphur Beach” on the map above.

Cross over to the other side of Sukhumvit.

Walk towards Sattahip to Ban Amphoe Post Office (300 meters).

Turn right and head towards the sea and Ban Amphur Beach (400 meters).

How to get by tuk-tuk to Wat Yan Nasangwararam Woramahawihan

Coming from Pattaya, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit road as you need a tuk-tuk heading towards Sattahip.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white tuk-tuk.

Get off at the location marked “Bus stop Wat Yan Nasangwararam Woramahawihan” on the map above.

Here you need to take a taxi as the distance from the bus stop to Wat Yan Nasangwararam Woramahawihan is over 5 km.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Khao Chi Chan

Coming from Pattaya, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit road as you need a tuk-tuk heading towards Sattahip.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white tuk tuk.

Get off at the location marked “Bus stop Khao Chi Chan” on the map above.

Here you need to take a taxi as the distance from the bus stop to Khao Chi Chan is about 6 km.

How to get by tuk-tuk to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden

Coming from Pattaya, cross to the other side of Sukhumvit road as you need a tuk-tuk heading towards Sattahip.

Find the bus stop and wait for the white tuk-tuk.

Get off at the location marked “Bus stop Nong Nooch Tropical Garden” on the map above.

Here you need to take a taxi, since the distance from the bus stop to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is about 3 km.
