Rabbit LINE Pay is a payment system and e-wallet in the LINE app.

Perhaps the word Rabbit will remind you of a card with a rabbit, and for good reason – it's all one payment system.

Benefits of Rabbit LINE Pay

In order to promote the Rabbit LINE Pay payment system in some offline and online stores, when paying using this payment system, you can get a discount on the price of a product or service. Offhand, I can recall the favorable rates from the mobile operator AIS, which are available only when paying with Rabbit LINE Pay.

It is not necessary to have a rabbit card to pay, you can pay from the application. For payment in stores, instead of a physical card, scanning a barcode or a QR code is used.

How to register in Rabbit LINE Pay

Start by installing the LINE messenger.

Then go to the “Wallet” section.

Click “Get Started with Rabbit LINE Pay”.

After that, you will need to pass verification.

Please note that the verification procedure is different for Thais and foreigners! Be sure to select verification for foreigners. In the process of it, you will need to take a picture of your passport (ID) and yourself with a passport in your hands.

You will also need to enter your passport (ID) details, information about the place of residence and so on.

At the end, you will see a message that the verification takes 1-2 days. In my case, I completed the steps required for verification more than a week ago and I still have not been verified.

How to use Rabbit LINE Pay

In the LINE app you will see your balance. You can replenish the balance or link a bank card.

Some online banking apps (such as Bangkok Bank) have an option to link a Rabbit LINE Pay account.

When paying in stores, you will need to scan the code.

You can also use Rabbit LINE Pay to pay online.

The LINE app contains many offers and services (for example, buying and delivering food) for which you can pay using Rabbit LINE Pay.

Also in the LINE application there is a map on which you will find all the stores where Rabbit LINE Pay is accepted.

Some stores offer special offers when paying with Rabbit LINE Pay. For example, the AIS application has very favorable tariff plans that can only be purchased with Rabbit LINE Pay.

Overall, Rabbit LINE Pay is more in demand as a payment method in Bangkok than in other parts of Thailand.
