The islands of Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, Ko Tao, Ko Nang Yuan are located in the Gulf of Thailand quite close to each other. When planning your trip, you may be wondering, is it possible to get to Ko Phangan and Ko Tao from Ko Samui? Or in any other order: get from Ko Phangan to Ko Samui, and from Ko Tao to Ko Phangan and so on.
Yes, there is a company that specializes in transport routes between the islands of Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, Ko Tao, Ko Nang Yuan.
Moreover, this company can take you to other popular islands, provinces, airports and other places in Thailand. These routes will have a transfer, but the work of all carriers is managed by one company, so all transfers are guaranteed and you will not find yourself in a situation where your bus left without you or you need to look for a taxi to get from the pier to the bus station.
Look at the following map:

The route schedule and cost can be viewed on this page (this is the official website of the Lomprayah transport company, which provides all these routes): https://lomprayah.com/timetable
On routes with layovers, all transfers are guaranteed. At the transfer points you will have space and some time to relax and have a snack (small restaurants are located there, in the Lomprayah offices).
For an additional fee, you can order a transfer to the pier or to your hotel – this is very convenient if you have already returned your rental motorbike, and your hotel is located quite far from the pier. The transfer is more convenient than looking for a taxi at an early hour and even cheaper. Although the website calls it a “taxi,” the transfer is usually a minivan that picks up all the clients one by one.
Using the following form, you can check the schedule and order tickets for both Lomprayah transport and other carriers:
Please note that you need to arrive at the pier in advance (30 minutes or other time specified by the carrier) and go through check-in. During registration, you will be issued a paper ticket based on your payment receipt or electronic ticket. When onboarding (entering the ship from the pier), they will check your paper tickets. Electronic tickets with QR will not help you – you must show them in advance during check-in at the box office.
In general, this is the same procedure as for 12GO ground transport.
You may be given stickers of one color or another – stick them on visible parts of your clothes or bag. These stickers will help staff distribute passengers at layovers and transport change points.
In general, all routes are relatively short and, usually, seasickness does not have time to cause discomfort. With the exception of one route: Ko Tao – Chumphon (or in the opposite direction). This is a very long distance and the catamaran/boat moves very quickly. Perhaps we were unlucky with the weather – it was raining and the sea was not calm. In general, this is the only time in my entire life that I felt signs of seasickness. I have never felt them before, either on land or on water transport. Many people on the ship were not feeling well that trip.
In general, the Ko Tao – Chumphon trip is quite long and unsafe for those who suffer from seasickness. If you suffer from seasickness but still want to visit Ko Tao, a shorter distance is the Ko Phangan – Ko Tao route. From the island of Ko Phangan it is not far from Ko Tao and seasickness will not have time to harm you.
